Before the advent of JSTL (Java Standard Tag Library), developers used scriptlets and expressions to code the presentation logic. Due to the usage of scriptlets and expressions, the JSP code is mixed with Java and HTML which leads to difficulty in understanding the presentation logic and leads to maintenance nightmares. Can not find the tag library descriptor for 'Download.
